A Toronto man, said to be aged 29 years old, has reportedly won $35 million in lottery.
Local Canadian media reports monitored by African Entertainment says the man won the lotto in June’s Lotto Max draw.
He reportedly split the $70 million jackpot with another person from British Columbia.
But interestingly, according to reports, he kept his win secret from family and friends.
The man, named Ginno Torres, accordingly bought his winning ticket at King Grocery on King Street in Toronto.
He reportedly checked his ticket a few days after the June 22 Lotto Max draw.
He initially thought he had won $35,000, reports say.
Reports added that Torres proceeded to another shop to check his ticket there and it was there he released he had won $35,000,000.
Torres was quoted as saying “That’s when I realized I won $35 million. My stomach was in knots as I was thinking about what was happening.”
He has since reportedly received his cheque from the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto.
“I wanted to make sure it was real before I surprised my family and friends with this incredible news.”
