Chris Brown may be facing charges for Monkeying around. The Los Angeles City Attorney is charging CB with two counts of having a restricted species without a permit. The crimes carry a maximum sentence of 6 months in jail.
Previously, Chris Brown posted a video of his then-3-year-old daughter, Royalty, playing with a baby capuchin monkey named Fiji. According to people the wild animal posed a danger to his daughter, However, Chris Brown told everyone to take a chill pill.
Chris Browns assurance of Royalty’s safety did not go over well with people. The California Dept. of Fish and Wildlife was notified, and launched an investigation. According their findings Chris Brown did not have a permit for the monkey, so authorities got a search warrant and planned to raid CB’s home, so Chris Brown voluntarily agreed to surrender the exotic pet.
Brown’s court date is Feb. 6th.
