A Baltimore daycare workers admits to suffocating a baby because the baby would not go to sleep. Leah Walden,24, murdered Reese Bowman at Rocket Tiers Learning Center last May and was sentenced to 70 years in prison for smothering the infant with a blanket until she died. Returning to work from lunch, Leah’s assistant Attorney stated that Leah told a daycare worker ‘Girl, I’m frustrated. I’m sick of this little b****. I hate this little b****.’
Leah admitted her anger during her trial on Tuesday saying that she lost control of her anger and did not receive the proper training for her job. According to her story, She pinned the infant to the crib and piled multiple blankets on her then left the classroom for 45 minutes. Walden claimed between that time window she fed Reese and placed her for a nap but found the child unresponsive.
According to Hollywood Unlocked, video surveillance captured a different side of the story. The footage from the incident showed Walden suffocating Reese with blankets, pillows, and slapping her repeatedly. The infant also fought for her life as Waldman continued assaulting her.
