‘One In A Million’, the Sophomore album of late American songstress, Aaliyah Dana Haughton, known mononymously as Aaliyah, is now available on all major streaming platforms.
Aaliyah, who aside singing, was also an actress, actress, dancer, and model, was born on January 16, 1979, in Brooklyn, New York, United States, and died on August 25, 2001 at Marsh Harbour, The Bahamas.
She was credited with helping to redefine contemporary R&B, pop and hip hop, earning her the nicknames the “Princess of R&B” and “Queen of Urban Pop”.
Aaliyah, who lived for 22 years, was married to singer R. Kelly (m. 1994–1995) and recorded three seminal R&B albums, all of which sold at least one million records.
Over the course of her career, Aaliyah worked with several big names in the American entertainment industry from 1994 to 2001. Among the big artists she worked with are R. Kelly, Ginuwine, Treach, Jermaine Dupri, Static Major, Missy Elliott, and Timbaland.
Her career began in 1994 with her debut album, Age Ain’t Nothing But a Number.
R. Kelly was credited with solely writing and producing the Age Ain’t Nothing But a Number album.
