Awkwafina will be joining Oprah, Miley Cyrus, Jennifer Garner, Lil Nas X and Simone Biles. The actress will be providing words of wisdom as Oprah leads as the commencement speaker. Miley Cyrus will be singing her new single, “The Climb.” Jennifer Garner, Lil Nas X and Simone Biles will also provide words of wisdom.
The #Graduation2020 event will be broadcast on Facebook Watch, with some segments posted to the @instagram account on Instagram, along with the social media accounts of the contributors, according to the announcement Tuesday.
The platforms will also roll out graduation-themed stickers, filters and effects, along with ways families and friends can host private virtual celebrations using the new Facebook Rooms feature.
The multi-hour ceremony will highlight high schools and colleges throughout the nation, as well as include photos and videos of members of the class of 2020 alongside messages from their deans and principals.
