Cameroonian tech entrepreneur, Rebecca Enonchong, has been released from detention.
Ms Enonchong spent three days in detention with the reasons for her arrest still being unclear.
She was arrested Cameroon’s economic capital, Douala, on Tuesday, August 10, 2021.
Her detention led to her supporters launching the hashtag #FreeRebecca. The hashtag has been trending on Twitter Cameroon.
But she has tweeted that she “I’ m freed!! All charges dropped!”
“We can retire the #FreeRebecca hashtag. So immensely grateful to all of you for believing in me and supporting me,” she told her supporters.
