Reigning European Champions, Chelsea, have won the UEFA Super Cup.
The Blues defeated their Spanish rivals, Villarreal, on Wednesday night, August 11, 2021 to lift the title.
Both teams ended the 90 minutes on a 1-1 draw, sending the match into extra time and a penalty shootout.
Chelsea emerged victorious after the shootout which ended 6-5.

Moroccan international, H. Ziyech, had put the Blues ahead in the 27th minute.
But G. Moreno leveled the Spanish club in the 73rd minute.
Chelsea and Villarreal faced each other at the Windsor Park, Belfast, Northern Ireland.
Chelsea are last season’s UEFA Champions League winners. They defeated Manchester City in the final played in Portugal.
Villarreal won the UEFA Europa League last season after defeating Manchester United in the final.
