Ethiopian Airlines has issued a statement, dismissing claims that it has been transporting arms to Ethiopia’s conflict-hit Tigray region.
The airline shared the statement on its official Twitter handle.
Ethiopian airlines says in the statement that after the airspace was reopened, it only gave “commercial essential service by transporting civilians”.
Flights to and from the Tigray region were suspended because of fighting that started in November 2020.
