Former “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Falynn Pina shocked fans on Tuesday, Aug. 17, after announcing that she was expecting her first child with her boyfriend, Jaylan Banks.
Initially, what stunned many wasn’t the pregnancy news itself but that Pina’s ex-husband Simon Guobadia may have been right after disclosing this information in June. At the time, he accused the former “RHOA” star and Banks of having an affair and accused Falynn of expecting after sharing a clip from her tell-all interview in an Instagram post.
Pina and Banks, who publicly confirmed their relationship a month ago, shared the exciting news on the expectant mother’s YouTube channel. Pina said at the 1:56 mark, “Jaylan and I are expecting. We are expecting yay!” She added that the latest addition would be Banks’ first child and her fourth. “We are adding another little one to the crazy bunch. It is Jaylan’s first baby, so welcome aboard.”
The 32-year-old then explained why she waited to reveal that she was pregnant despite the rumors being made public as the clip continued. Pina opened up on mark 2:45 while admitting that she was more than two months pregnant, “I do realize that a lot of you and a lot of the blogs have somewhat caught wind of our little news. We just wanted to make sure we made it past the two-month mark.”
Pina added, “They say you are not really supposed to mention a pregnancy before that point; for me it’s like bad luck. I’m very superstitious like that. I just didn’t want to risk anything. But now that we are past that point, we are expecting.”
As this pregnancy news began circulating on social media, many people mentioned Guobadia and how another accusation has been proven true. One social media user claimed that the messy drama of this entire situation thickens.

This revelation comes almost a month after Pina shared her divorce with Guobadia was finalized. The former couple was married for a year-and-a-half and shared no children. Guobadia is now engaged to Pina’s former friend and “RHOA” castmate Porsha Williams. Guobadia and Williams publicly confirmed their engagement when he was still married to Falynn earlier this year.
