The Speaker of Ghana’s Parliament, Alban Bagbin, has been involved a car crash.
Mr Bagbin’s dispatch rider, a police officer, died instantly as a result of the crash which occurred along the Accra-Kumasi Highway on Friday morning, August 6, 2021.
African Entertainment understands that Mr Bagbin was traveling to Kumasi.
The accident is said to have occurred at about 9am at Juaso Water Works at the Asante Akyem South Municipality in the Ashanti Region.
The dispatch rider has been identified as Chief Inspector Kaakyire Abednego. He was reported to be clearing the way when he accidentally ran into a faulty truck on the highway.
The mortal remains of the dispatch rider have been deposited at the Juaso Government Hospital to Accra.
