The Minister of Health, Kwaku Agyeman-Manu says at all times serving Ghana, he has been guided to protect the public purse and will continue to play his role in ensuring the safety of Ghanaians during the pandemic.
This comes after pressure by some section of the public for his resignation after entering an agreement for the supply of 300,000 overpriced Sputnik V vaccines from Russia by using a middleman named Sheikh Al Maktoum.
In a press release signed by Mr Agyeman- Manu who serves also as an MP, the ministry of health is “working assiduously to access vaccines to enable vaccinations to be administered to the public. That is the surest way to win the battle against COVID 19”.
