Ghanaian comedy sensations, Dacosta, Jackeline Mensah, Nana Made in China have been nominated for the Face of Ghana Youth Awards (FOGYA).
The trio were nominated for the Social Media Comic Icon of the year 2020 category. Also nominated for the category is Eb Forson.
The Comic of the year category is the most competitive among the 36 categories, the organizers of the programme, have said.
Chief Executive Officer of Glitz African and Outsider Company, Isaac Kwame Yalley, said all 36 personalities will be awarded for their excellence and contribution to the Ghana Entertainment industry.
According to him, nominees will need 60% of public votes and 40% votes from the jury, adding, voting ends on 29 January 2021, so fans of the nominees have an opportunity to decide the winners of the various categories.
Mr Yalley intimated that “Special reward will be presented to some stakeholders and media houses for their support and dedication to the Ghana Entertainment Industry”.
The main award ceremony will be held at the conference hall of the Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA) on January 30, 2021.
Other nominees for the FOGYA awards include Deejay adviser, Sammy flex, Arnold Mensah, Nana Adwoa Silky, Afia Kwakyewaa, DJ Fox, King Kelly, and Ras General were nominated for the category of radio personality of the year.
Nana Adwoa Annan, Gladys Osei Owiredu, Kojo Pooley, Abena Dufie, Dj Fox, and Miguel Ankrah were nominated for Television personality of the year.
Lawson Kwame Lugu was nominated for Youth Blogger of the year alongside celebrity Ghana, GH Trends, and Amartey Jeremiah (Kobby Jay), Brah Lyrics, and Brand Ghana Tailor.
