Jacob Blake Recalls Being Shot 7 Times By A Wisconsin Police Officer

In a new interview with Michael Strahan for “Good Morning America,” Jacob Blake recalls being shot seven times by a Wisconsin police officer last August. The shooting has left him partially paralyzed, and he’s now opening up about the life-changing moment.

During the interview, Jacob recalled feeling limp after the shooting and looking back at his children to tell them that he loves them.

He said, “All I remember at that point was kinda leanin’ back, lookin’ at my boys. I said, ‘Daddy, love you no matter what.’ It was the last thing I said to them at that point. I thought it was gonna be the last thing I say to them. Thank God it wasn’t.”

As previously reported, just last week, prosecutors announced that Rusten Sheskey, the officer who is responsible for shooting and injuring Jacob Blake, would not face any charges. It was also announced that Vincent Arenas and Brittany Meronek, the other two officers involved in the incident, would not face any charges either.

Kenosha County District Attorney, Michael Graveley said, “It is my decision now that no Kenosha law enforcement officer will be charged with any criminal offense based on the facts and laws.”

Graveley continued to claim that Sheskey was justified in the shooting because he claims that Jacob was armed with a knife, and refused orders to drop it, and made a motion as if he was going to stab Sheskey.
