One of Ghana’s legendary highlife musicians, Nana Kwame Ampadu, has passed away.
African Entertainment understands that Ampadu died on September 28, 2021 in his native Ghana.
He is credited with numerous popular highlife songs.
Mr. Ampadu was known to have composed over 800 songs.
He co-founded the ‘African Brothers Band’ in 1963. One of the Band’s member was Eddie Donkor.
Ampadu was born on March 31, 1945 at Adiemmra, during colonial rule in the then Gold Coast now known as Ghana.
