The Malian Government has reportedly stated that the man who attempted to stab the country’s President with knife has died.
Local media reports say the man died while under guard in a hospital.
Last week, it would be recalled, the man had reportedly attempted to stab interim President Assimi Goïta, in a mosque in Bamako last week.
Reports say the attacker has not been identified.
The Malian Government is reported to have said the man’s health had deteriorated in custody and he was taken to hospital, where he died.
