Apple Music today announced Nigerian singer-songwriter FAVE as its latest addition to the Africa Rising programme.
The programme is an artist development initiative and companion playlist(link is external) geared towards showcasing the next generation of African superstars.
The 21-year-old joins the likes of fellow Nigerians Omah Lay and Tems, as well as South Africa’s Blxckie, all of whom have been featured in the programme. FAVE will enjoy a minimum of two months’ editorial support across the Apple Music platform, including on Apple Music 1 radio.
“Being on Apple Music’s Africa Rising program takes me one step closer to the dream: a gateway to the world stage,” FAVE said. “I’m proud to represent Africa with my voice and in my lyrics.”

FAVE’s professional music career kicked off at the age of 19, with her debut single ‘M.O.M.M.S.’ (2019), which has been featured in two Nollywood TV series.
Other offerings from the singer include ‘DAL’ and ‘N.B.U (Nobody But You)’. SHe also appears on two tracks off rapper Olamide’s 9th studio album, UY Scuti (2021).
FAVE’s debut EP Riddim 5 comprises five songs that meld Afropop, Caribbean and neo-R&B influences. In her music, FAVE explores the subjects of love and heartbreak.
