Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) have recorded their first win after signing Argentine soccer icon, Lionel Messi.
The Paris club defeated Strasbourg 4-2 in their opening fixture of the 2021/2022 ligue 1 season.
Icardi scored the first goal in the third minute for PSG who hosted Strasbourg on Saturday evening, August 14, 2021.
Kylian Mbappe scored the second goal of the match in the 25th minute.
PSG went into the break with a 3 – 0 win. Strasbourg managed to pull two goals back. K. Gameiro scored Strasbourg’s first goal in the 53rd minute, while L. Ajorque scored the second in the 64th minute.
It all seemed like the visitors were going to secure a draw when P. Sarabia scored the fourth goal for PSG
Messi and Spaniard, Sergio Ramos both did not play for PSG but they were officially unveiled to the club’s supporters before the start of the match.
