A Tik Tok couple goes on a date at Target and finds out more than they would at a fancy dinner. While many may say it isn’t an option others say they enjoyed it.
The Tik Tok couple Amber and Joey went viral after Amber shared that she met Joey on Hinge and he asked her for a date at Target. The video received over 400,000 views.
According to the couple, walking down the aisles sparked more conversation topics. For instance, they walked down the pet aisle and spoke about the idea of having pets.
“We went to the shoe section, and I saw some nice hiking boots and we talked about our interests in hiking,” Smith added. “And in the toy aisles, we pointed out games that we both loved as kids.
The memory walks through the aisles essentially allowed the two to get to know each other better.
Amber told the Post, “We just had fun wandering around the aisles and pointing out things that we like.”
Joey spoke to ABC saying the idea to date at Target was inspired by his mom and sister.
In addition, the couple claims the date broke the awkward silence of many dinner dates.
“I’ve had plenty of fancy dinner dates, where you’re sitting across from someone in a nice restaurant,” she said. “But once you guys run out of things to talk about or things that you have in common, it gets really awkward.”
