The big trendsetter, Coi Leray braid styles are popping up in all the summer photos for the summer.
Coi Leray heated up the gram with her signature hairstyle. Many have worn this protective style since she has become more popular.
In an Instagram post the rapper says, she is a trendsetter because she is really confident in herself. “I feel like I help a lot of women and men to feel really good about themselves. That’s already setting trends.”
Coi Leray braid styles have been spotted on top influencers tutorials.
The jumbo knotless braids, with curls on the end sent Pinterest into a frenzy last summer. The style received a 214 percent increase in search on Pinterest over the last August.
Although, the “TWINNEM” artist typically wears her braids near shoulder length, some seem to like the longer length with the curls at the end.
The protective style is great for vacation. As YouTuber Kinzey Rae states the braids last about two weeks.
During a recent Hype Hair interview Coi told the media outlet, she rocked natural hair her whole life.
“You know, I tried a wig. I’ve tried sew ins and all kinds of stuff. But like, honestly, nothing works. The maintenance part is like the biggest problem for me. I like to be able to just get up and go. So braids were always a thing to just seem very easy. Simple”.

The Coi Leray braid trend slowed down via Pinterest in February. However, as warm weather, vacations, and summer approaches the Pinterest trend is spiking back up.
