United Airlines are ready to give customers what they have been waiting for. the truth and nothing but the truth. No more guessing on the reasons of late flights.
United Airlines are preparing a system that will send alerts to flyers on why their flights are late. The United Airlines staff will receive the alerts first. After the updates are sent to staff, passengers will receive alerts five minutes later via text, or email. The notifications will be sent on flights that are at least an hour late.
United’s President Scott Kirby told INC. that he realized how angry passengers were not knowing why their flights were delayed.
“We have situations where our customers are super frustrated because we can’t tell them what’s going on. For example, a maintenance delay, rolling delays, or bad weather. They’re frustrated with that, or they think we’re lying to them.”
In the long run passengers will now be able to find out which staff member stayed out late to party, or if it was all an act caused by nature, or normal delay issues.
