Chrissy Teigen And John Legend’s Baby Loss Brings encouraging words

Chrissy Teigen and John Legend have been very open with their third pregnancy. In her most recent week Teigen has been capturing the difficult times parents face when giving birth. The dark news started when reports escalated that The Legends had to be admitted into the hospital due to excessive bleeding caused by birth.

Many prayers wen out to the family. Sadly, Chrissy Teigen would soon announce that baby Jack ascended. On her Instagram she wrote, “We are shocked and in the kind of deep pain you only hear about, the kind of pain we’ve never felt before. We were never able to stop the bleeding and give our baby the fluids he needed, despite bags and bags of blood transfusions. It just wasn’t enough.

We never decide on our babies’ names until the last possible moment after they’re born, just before we leave the hospital.  But we, for some reason, had started to call this little guy in my belly Jack.  So he will always be Jack to us.  Jack worked so hard to be a part of our little family, and he will be, forever.”

As over 8 million Instagrammers went to her post to share their condolences and let her know “We’re all in this together” some discovered encouraging words from different walks of life and others who have experienced similar life unexpectancies.

Joe Fahed (Ajoefahed) stated In Lebanese culture we believe babies like Jack are angels that God selectively chooses to watch over you. Sending you light.

Kim Kardashian West, who also had medical issues with birth commented, “We’re always here for you and love you guys so much.”

Tamra Kat (@tamrakat) wrote a poem telling Teigen , “Chrissy, I’m so sorry. I wrote this poem on what would’ve been my son Sam’s 10th birthday. I hope you don’t mind that I’m sharing it here.

    The Closet Box

There’s a box inside my closet
    where half my heart belongs.
It’s filled with clothes you never wore, with lullabies and songs.

You were just around the corner,
    I’m a half a second late,
Still trying to win a race against
    this unforgiving fate.

Last night we lit ten candles,
    imagined what you’d wish,
Then blew out each blue candle,
    and set an extra dish.

You were just around the corner,
    I’m a half a step away,
    Held fast within a memory
    of that long-remembered day.

Are you sleeping in the garden?
Are you safe beyond the storm?
Are you cradled in the angels’ arms where nights are always warm?

You were just around the corner,
    just beyond my reach,
    skipping on the gentle sand
    of heaven’s golden beach.

In my dreams you’re in the courtyard,
    or climbing in the tree,
    dancing in the shadows
past where mortal eyes can see.

You were just around the corner.
I run to catch your face,
then wake to find my empty arms…..
    You’re gone, without a trace. đŸ’•”

Melissa Fumero also commented saying, “I am so astonished and in complete awe of your bravery. You just made so many women feel seen by sharing this intimate grief. I hope the outpouring of love you receive helps you and your family heal.”

Needless to say, Melissa is so right.
