There may be another medal needed for a late-entry in cross-country skiing at the Winter Olympics.
Video captured the moment a dog entered the women’s team sprint qualifications and ran behind skiers to cross the finish line at the Games.
The crowd cheered as the dog joined skiers on the course to make its way to the end of the race just behind Croatia’s Tena Hadzic, with announcers calling the moment.
“Racing to the line there. the crowd clearly enjoying this,” one commentator said.
“The biggest cheer of the day is not for any of the skiers so far,” another called. “Local wildlife, domesticated. What a finish!”

Sadly, the dog did not appear to qualify for the medal final and did not continue in the race.
