International direct-selling conglomerate Immeri International has partnered with global online payment platforms Visa, MasterCard to enable recruitment as well as facilitate sales.
This development comes on the back of a second wave of the Covid-19 disease which has sent many countries across the world into a second and third lockdown in some cases.
According to the Group Executive Vice President and President Immeri International Markets of Immeri International Mr Yap Wai Yen, it would not be realistic in the coming year to have physical offices with staff even as many companies are downsizing and implementing a ‘work from home’ policy.
Speaking at the second-year anniversary of Immeri Ghana Limited which was a virtual event of January 15 and 16, he insisted that with the ongoing pandemic and global borders lockdown, it will be challenging and unrealistic for the company to commit which country will be open in 2021.
The theme for this year’s anniversary was ‘Immeri United’ to promote a unity of strength that was built in 2020.
Immeri United according to the company is the rise of a worldwide networking team of extraordinary individuals with different strengths ad experiences that will help the world citizens financially and propel the global economy from depression to stability.
He said “I do not want to provide false hope for anyone as this situation right now is beyond our control. But what Iis within our control is to find an alternative platform to bring Immeri to the rest of the world with our physical office committed to strengthening our online recruitment and purchasing platform with global logistics solution.”
He announced that “we will also be working with some online global online payment providers to issue prepaid visa or MasterCard exclusively to our distributors outside our country of operations.”
“It will be used to receive their bonuses. It can also be used to make online payments for purchasing or doing sales online. This will enable our distributors to recruit anyone from around the world and have the product delivered to them from our centralized warehouse either from Malaysia or our existing countries.”
Mr Yap Wai Yen further intimated that “we find this to be more realistic and sustainable in the long run due to the new economy post-pandemic.”
He added, “please understand that with the ongoing pandemic and its aftermath a seamless setup of having to pay physical office in every part of the world will no longer be sustainable or feasible as social distancing will still prevent people from coming to the offices.”
“Many offices are downsizing their offices and liquidating assets and with more people working from home. And when more people are working from home we need to find a way of bringing the business and product to people working from home,” he maintained.
