According to several outlets Rihanna’s daughter and ASAP Rocky’s baby girl is here. Rihanna announced her second pregnancy back in February 2023 during her Super Bowl performance, fans have been speculating when the ‘Work’ singer will give birth to her child. On Thursday August 10th, 2023 the Rihanna account Fenty Cop announced that Rihanna and ASAP Rocky welcomed a baby girl.
The now mom of 2 just launched a maternity range through her lingerie brand Savage X Fenty.
Fans were speculating when Rihanna would give birth to her and ASAP Rocky’s second child.
A source told In Touch that Rihanna “kept the baby news under wraps and only told family members, her stylist and a couple of close friends until she couldn’t keep quiet about it any longer.”
Rihanna has been rocking pregnancy look after look, including her 2023 Met Gala dress, which exposed her bump. She and Rocky welcomed their first child, a son, in May 2022. They shared the first video of him in December. Rihanna used her Super Bowl Halftime Show to drop big news: She is expecting her second child with A$AP Rocky. The singer’s rep confirmed the pregnancy shortly after Rihanna’s halftime performance wrapped amid the internet debating whether or not Rihanna had debuted her new baby bump. Rihanna later spoke to Entertainment Tonight in May 2023 at The Met Gala about her second pregnancy compared to her first. “It’s so different from the first one,” she started. “No cravings. Tons of nausea. Everything’s different, but I’m enjoying it. I feel good. I feel energetic.”
In an interview published on British Vogue in February, Rihanna expressed her hope to expand her family.
“Listen, I’m down for whatever,” she said. “My wish would be I would like to have more kids but whatever God wants for me, I’m here. I’m open [to whatever baby gender next]. Girl, boy. Whatever.” In January 2023, Rocky told Zane Lowe on Apple Music 1 that life with Rihanna and their son is “heaven.” “It’s so unexplainable. It’s just one of those things,” he said. “I’m a member of our club now, like the dad club. You see a dad, you see me. I’m playing on, I’m a full dad now. Being outside and working and being creative, it drives more energy for you…to think and soak things up like a sponge now that I’m a dad, because I have a whole ‘nother perspective. But it honestly helps you get home to your family and get home to your baby. And I can’t even explain it, man. You come home to heaven every day. I’m so thankful. God is good, man.”
Rihanna, meanwhile, said to Vogue in November that her favorite part of being a mother to her firstborn son is “his smile. He is the happiest baby. No matter what you’re doing or what you’re feeling, when he smiles at you everything else just goes away. It’s the best.”
The two have not yet spoken out on the birth of baby number two as of yet, but fans are super excited and sending cheers to the couple.
