
Two people were killed and a third was injured in a shooting early Saturday morning in Chicago’s Englewood neighborhood, authorities said.
The incident was reported at around 12:49 a.m. along South Hermitage Avenue near West 65th Street. Chicago police said three victims were outside a residence when a white SUV approached, and a man inside produced a gun and fired shots.
A 30-year-old man sustained a gunshot wound to the head and was taken to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead. A 31-year-old man was shot in the chest and transported to a local hospital, where he also died.
A third victim, a 26-year-old woman, sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was hospitalized in critical condition.
