The Member of Parliament for Ghana’s Ablekuma West Constituency, Ursula Owusu-Ekuful, says three of her friends have died from coronavirus.
The ex-Minister of Communications announced the passing of her friends in a post African Entertainment sighted on her official Facebook page.
According to her, “I lost 3 friends to COVID last week. COVID-19 is fast spreading in our communities, kindly stay safe by taking some simple precautions, such as physical distancing, wearing a mask, keeping rooms well ventilated, avoiding crowds, washing your hands, and coughing into a bent elbow or tissue (dispose immediately).”
“Stay at home if you begin to feel unwell, even with mild symptoms such as headache and slight runny nose, until you recover,” Mrs Owusu-Ekuful said.
“If you develop fever, cough and difficulty in breathing, seek medical advice promptly.”
Ghana is currently facing a resurgence of the coronavirus. President Nana Akufo-Addo on Sunday night January 17, 2021 told the nation that Ghana’s treatment centers were full with Covid-19 patients. He said the country was recording on average, 200 confirmed cases of coronavirus daily, with deaths linked to the virus increasing to 352.
