News About Ukraine Battle in The Streets of Sievierodonetsk

News about Ukraine on Monday broke reporting battles in industrial city of Sievierodonetsk.

The Ukrainian defenders had over the weekend regained control over about half the city just as the Russians appeared on the verge of victory.

But their position had again become more perilous on Monday morning, Luhansk governor Serhiy Gaidai told state television.

According to Reuters, The Ukrainian forces were holding positions in Sievierodonetsk’s industrial zone.

“Our defenders managed to undertake a counter-attack for a certain time, they liberated almost half of the city. But now the situation has worsened a little for us again,” Gaidai said.

“Fast-moving fighting is happening right now,” he said.

Casual life costs effect both sides, according to reports. But Ukraine holds the largest city in Luhansk.

So far, Russian forces fired on a bakery and several administrative and residential buildings.

In the past few months, the relationship between Russia and news about Ukraine has been strained. Tensions between the two countries have been high since Russia annexed Crimea in March. On Sunday, November 23rd, Russian forces fired on and seized three Ukrainian navy vessels off the coast of Crimea.

This event has led to increased criticism of Russia by the international community and heightened fears that a full-blown war could break out.

A unit commander who gave his name as Maxym appealed for more arms from Ukraine’s allies.

“We need more anti-tank weapons. With more anti-tank weapons we would be able to destroy their tanks, to cause maximal damage and the enemy will be forced to flee from where they came,” he told Reuters.

“This is our home, our land. We will fight for every piece of this land.”

Russia calls its action in Ukraine a “special military operation.”

In shelling 10 reportedly wounded, along with 3 dead.
