Brittney Griner Wife Says The U.S Embassy Has Lack Of Employees

Unintentionally Brittney Griner wife, Cherelle Griner discovered the U.S Embassy in Moscow lacks employees. The U.S Embassy seems to be in the same boat as most American employers.

Griner currently held in Russia due to having a vape attempted to call her wife for their anniversary. But the calls never rang through.

Cherelle expressed the frustration and hurt she felt on Monday June 18th.

“I’m pretty sure I texted BG’s agent and was like: ‘I don’t want to talk to anybody. It’s going to take me a minute to get my emotions together, and just tell everybody I’m unavailable right now.’ Because it just knocked me out. I wasn’t well, I’m still not well,” she said, per AP.

Brittney Griner revealed that she met her wife when they were both at Baylor University.

The WNBA star previously married WNBA star Glory Johnson. But they divorced in less than a year.

She sat with increasing distress waiting for a call that never came and was horrified on learning that Brittney had indeed tried to contact her 11 times.

Speaking two days after the incident, Cherelle said: ‘I have zero trust in our government right now.’

She continued to say, ‘If I can´t trust you to catch a Saturday call outside of business hours, how can I trust you to actually be negotiating on my wife´s behalf to come home? Because that´s a much bigger ask than to catch a Saturday call.’

During the beginning of June Russian state media shared a video image of children killed in a separatist region of eastern Ukraine. They claimed it as “on the hands of U.S. warmongers.”

Recently, A spokesperson for Russian President Vladimir Putin pushed back on the U.S. State Department’s about wrongfully detaining WNBA star Brittney Griner.

“It’s not about being a hostage. There are lots of American citizens here. They’re enjoying their freedoms … but you have to obey the laws,” Dmitry Peskov told NBC News senior international correspondent Keir Simmons in an exclusive interview.
