ASAP Rocky Charged But Not Convicted Against Terell Ephron
ASAP Rocky charged for assault weapon discharge. Rakim Meyers and his former friend Terell Ephron alleged got into an altercation. This occurred around November of 2021. During the altercation ASAP Rocky allegedly shot at Terell Ephron.
The plaintiffs’ attorney released a statement. Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascón said, “Discharging a gun in a public place is a serious offense that could have ended with tragic consequences not only for the person targeted but also for innocent bystanders visiting Hollywood,” said District Attorney Gascón. “My office conducted a thorough review of the evidence in this case and determined that the addition of a special firearm allegation was warranted.”
The arraignment is scheduled on Aug. 17 in Department 30 of the Foltz Criminal Justice Center.
An ongoing investigation continues. In April, officials arrested ASAP for assault with a deadly weapon at Los Angeles International Airport.
The Los Angeles Police Department’s Twitter page noted the alleged incident started with an argument between Rocky and the victim—who is listed as an “acquaintance” to Rocky—in Los Angeles near Vista Del Mar and Selma Avenue.
“The argument escalated and resulted in the suspect firing a handgun at the victim,” the statement reads. “The victim sustained a minor injury from the incident and later sought his medical treatment. Following the shooting, the suspect and two additional males fled the area on foot. Detectives worked diligently to investigate and corroborate the reporting information, which helped identify the suspect(s) involved.”
During that time Rihanna was still pregnant with her and ASAP Rocky’s first child. Due to the arrest she had to cancel her baby shower.
Rakim Meyers bailed out with a 550,000-dollar bond.
Rakim Mayers (dob 10/3/88) faces two counts of assault with a semiautomatic firearm with allegations of personally using a firearm.
Case BA508142 was filed on Tuesday. ASAP Rocky charged.
