Black Friday deals have officially begun. Ahead of Thanksgiving, online and brick-and-mortar retailers including Amazon, Best Buy, Nordstrom, Sephora, Target, Ulta and Walmart have rolled out major markdowns on gift-ready home electronics, smart tech, toys, beauty, fashion, stocking stuffers and more holiday shopping categories.

Target’s Black Friday sale started Oct. 29, with some of the best deals already in effect on toys, electronics, holiday decor, cookware, beauty products, fashion and more gift-ready items.
Unlike frenzied shopping holidays of years past, some stores are closing their doors on Thursday to encourage their employees and customers to enjoy Thanksgiving. Best Buy, Costco, Home Depot, Kohl’s, Lowe’s, Macy’s, Nordstrom, Petco, Sephora, Target, Ulta and Walmart, are among the retailers that will be closed on Thanksgiving, however many began offering early Black Friday deals starting right after Halloween.

When does Black Friday 2023 start?
Black Friday officially begins Nov. 24 and Cyber Monday starts on Nov. 27, but many retailers — including Target, Best Buy and Walmart — have already kicked off their sales early.
Are there Black Friday price match guarantees?
Target’s Holiday Price Match Guarantee is in effect for products purchased between Oct. 22 to Dec. 24, and the company will match the price on select products if the price goes lower during that period.
Members of Best Buy’s Totaltech and My Best Buy programs will get refunded the difference on any purchases on “Black Friday Price Guarantee” products if the price is reduced on or before Nov. 24.

What are the extended return policies for Black Friday 2023?
Many retailers are offering extended return policies to accommodate the busy holiday shopping season. Amazon will accept returns on most items purchased from Nov. 1 to Dec. 31, 2023 until Jan. 31, 2024, except for Apple products, which must be returned by Jan. 15, 2024.
Best Buy will accept returns on select items until Jan. 13, 2024 for purchases made between Oct. 27 to Dec. 30, 2023, with exclusions on activatable devices and holiday decorations.
Target’s refund period starts Dec. 26 for select electronics and entertainment items (excluding Apple products) purchased Oct. 1 to Dec. 24, and returns must be made by Jan. 24, 2024 for all electronics and entertainment items (excluding Apple products); see more details here.
