Bodies of boy, 6, and man found inside Logan Square home
A father and his 6-year-old son were both found dead following a well-being check at a Logan Square home Tuesday night. Officials say their bodies were in advance stages of decomposition. Police are still investigating how this happened.
A well-being check was called for around 10 p.m. at a residential apartment in the 3500 block of West Lyndale Street where officers found the bodies of a man and a boy in a bedroom, according to CPD.
The bodies appeared to have been there for a long time and were in an “advanced state of decomposition,” police said.
Lopez said the last time he had seen the father and son was about two weeks ago.
The family declined to make a formal statement, but told FOX 32 that “at this moment, we are in shock and trying to deal with this sad moment in our lives.”
