“Relentless rain” was expected all day Wednesday across the entire Chicago area, with waves of showers from morning until night, the NBC 5 Storm Team said.
The wet weather comes as rain totals from Tuesday’s showers and storms already topped three inches in some areas, with flood watches and warnings already in effect.
Wednesday could also see the chance for severe weather, with more flooding, hail and heavy downpours possible.
