
A man has died after the Jeep he was driving slammed into a tree and burst into flames in Chicago’s Archer Heights neighborhood.
According to Chicago police, the man was driving at a high rate of speed in the 4400 block of South Pulaski at approximately 11:50 p.m. Saturday when he crashed into a Honda Pilot.
The man then lost control of his Jeep and it struck a tree and a fence before bursting into flames, police said.
The driver of the Jeep was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Honda was uninjured in the crash, according to authorities.
No further information was immediately available, and Area One detectives are investigating the crash.
