A semi truck rollover crash in northwest Indiana Monday morning has shut down lanes and snarled traffic during the rush hour commute.
According to a 9 a.m. post from the Indiana State Police in Lowell, the rollover occured on the ramp from I-65 northbound to west, just north of Ridge Road in Lake County. Only one lane is open as officials work to investigate, with “significant traffic delays.”
“The entire ramp will likely need to be closed during the recovery of the overturned semi,” the post said. “Expect this to be lengthy detail. Seek alternate routes.”
No injuries were reported, state police said.
Photos provided by state police show parts of the overturned semi, with its windshield shattered, with heavy damage to the cab and bed.
No further details were provided.
