Chicago police are searching for the hit-and-run driver who struck and killed a man on a sidewalk after an argument in the city’s Gage Park neighborhood, officials said.
At around 2:41 a.m. Saturday, a 65-year-old man was standing on the sidewalk along South Western Avenue near West 50th Street when a man in a Blue SUV stopped his vehicle, and the two men got into an argument. The driver then went onto the curb and hit the other man before driving away eastbound on 51st Street.
The victim sustained trauma to his body and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Area One detectives are investigating.
