Thousands of Illinois Lottery players earned big prizes in a Sunday drawing thanks to a truly quirky result.
The midday drawing of the Pick 4 game on Sunday yielded a truly remarkable outcome, as the winning numbers were 7-7-7-7, with a fireball number of “6,” according to Lottery officials.
The repeat numbers were the first to occur in the game since August 2025, and as a result, thousands of players split the prize pool in the game.
According to Lottery officials, approximately 2,800 players captured a prize of $2,500 in the game, while one player who purchased an online ticket walked away with a cool $50,000.
Another 22 players won $25,000 prizes, while eight won $20,000 and eight more won $15,000. A total of 29 tickets were sold that won $10,000 prizes, officials said.
Players have up to one year to claim their prizes in the game, with tickets available for purchase both online and at participating retailers.
Twice-daily drawings are held for the Pick 4 game at 12:35 p.m. and 9:15 p.m., according to officials.
