Those eager to visit the new Obama Presidential Center and Museum should set a reminder for Wednesday morning to snag tickets when they first go on sale.
Museum tickets go on sale at 9 a.m. on May 6 and a high demand is expected, the Obama Foundation said in a statement on Tuesday.
“Please be patient,” the Obama Foundation said in a statement, warning that ticket seekers may experience a wait when trying to make their purchase.
Included in the ticket is four levels of exhibits, access to a replica of the oval office and the opportunity to see sweeping views of Chicago from the center’s Sky Room.
Visit dates from opening day on June 19 through November 30 will be available on Wednesday and will be sold on a timed-entry basis.
Tickets range in price from $15 to $30 and up to nine can be purchased at a time.
The Obama Foundation recommended prospective visitors hoping to score tickets on Wednesday have a few alternative dates and times in mind for their visit if their first choice becomes unavailable.
Another ticket option is the “Campus Experience Tour”–ranging from $75 to $95–that gives ticketholders access to a “90 minute comprehensive tour” of the campus and the ability to skip the line for the museum and self-guide through the exhibits before or after their tour.
Illinois residents have the chance to score free admission to the museum on an Illinois Resident Free Day by selecting a Tuesday time slot and providing their zip code during checkout.
