The Chicago Bulls had a 4.5% chance of winning the top pick in the 2026 NBA Draft, and while they didn’t get that pick, they did move way up in the order.
The Bulls had the ninth-best odds overall to win the top pick, but things broke in their favor, and they moved into the top-four of the selection process conducted by the NBA on Sunday.
As a result, the Bulls will pick No. 4 in the June draft, while the Washington Wizards won the lottery and will have the top overall selection.
The Utah Jazz will pick second, and the Memphis Grizzlies will pick third. The Los Angeles Clippers will round out the top-five.
The Bulls came into the lottery with a 20.3% chance of moving into the top-four, and that’s exactly what happened, as they’ll move up in their first draft with Vice President Bryson Graham heading up the team’s basketball operations department.
Now, the big question will be who the Bulls will pick with that selection. The team has plenty of needs to address as they launch an ambitious rebuilding effort.
There are some very solid options available at guard, including Illinois’ Keaton Wagler, Kansas’ Darryn Peterson and Arizona’s Brayden Burries, among others.
The first round of the 2026 NBA Draft will take place on June 23, with the second round taking place the following day.
