
Three people have died as a result of a wrong-way crash on the Reagan Memorial Tollway in suburban Aurora Sunday morning.
According to Illinois State Police, a driver was traveling eastbound in the westbound lanes of the roadway near milepost 112.25 in Aurora when they slammed into another vehicle head-on.
State police say three individuals suffered life-threatening injuries, and all three have since died as a result of the crash, which occurred just after 4 a.m. Sunday.
A short time later, all westbound lanes of the roadway between Orchard Road and Route 47 were closed, but were reopened just after 9 a.m.
