Three people were hospitalized after a vehicle crashed into a Chipotle on Chicago’s Southwest Side on Saturday afternoon, fire officials said.
The incident was reported before 2 p.m. at the restaurant at 5330 S. Pulaski Rd. in the city’s West Elsdon neighborhood. One person was rushed to an area hospital in serious-to-critical condition, a Chicago Fire Department spokesperson said. Two others were listed in good-to-fair condition.
Video posted on the Citizen app showed a car that appeared to had crashed into the dining area, extensive wall damage and pieces of shattered glass across the sidewalk and parking lot. What caused the driver to crash into the building wasn’t immediately clear.
