Lounge chairs on a pool deck of a high rise building in Chicago were lifted and blown into traffic below by strong gusts of wind during severe storms that rolled across the region Wednesday.
Video shared to social media by Emily Ehman showed wind push the blue lounge chairs around on the deck, lifting some into the air and dropping them into traffic in the street below.
The storms also appeared to shatter windows of at least two South Loop high rise buildings and left more than 230,000 ComEd customers without power across the region, including thousands in Chicago.

The entire Chicago area is likely to again face severe weather on Thursday, with the Storm Prediction Center placing the region at an “enhanced risk” of severe weather on Thursday, the third of five levels used by the SPC to determine the likelihood of damaging storms.
