Glee star Heather Morris Offers To Help Police Find Naya Rivera

Heather Morris along with many others are hopeful and praying for Naya Rivera. Morris used Twitter to reach out to Venture County Sheriff’s Department asking if she could come out today and “conduct an on foot search and rescue mission” with friends.

The county has stated however that they are considering Naya Rivera as a presumptive death and are looking to locate her remains. “We’re presuming that an accident happened and we’re presuming she drowned in the lake,” said Deputy Chris Dyer at a press conference. “We hope for the best, we prepare for the worst.”

The details of what happened are questionable, considering that reports are stating Naya’s four year old son stated that Naya was the one who put him back on the boat, but she did not get on with him.

Heather Morris is not alone with being hands on with Naya’s rescue. The family of Rivera visited Lake Piru where she disappeared.

A spokesperson for the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department confirmed to Entertainment Tonight that Rivera’s family visited the lake on Saturday afternoon.

“We’ve been utilizing all the same resources we’ve been utilizing the last three days: cadaver dogs, sonar technology, helicopters,” the spokesperson said. “Tulare County Sheriff has been assisting since the beginning and we have San Luis Obispo Sheriff’s Office [assisting too].”

he spokesperson said that they hope to “bring closure to the family.”

“They are pretty devastated, as you can imagine. That’s our goal, to bring that closure to them as best we can here,” they said.

“The visibility in the water is one to two feet,” Capt. Eric Buschow said during a Friday news conference, noting that the depth in the area being searched is up to 35 feet.

“We’re still continuing the search and we appreciate everybody’s cooperation,” he said. “We know everyone’s concerned out there about this case and locating her and providing some closure for her family.”

Rescuers are confident that Naya will be found. However, the visibility of the lake makes it difficult to locate her.

“We don’t know if she’s gonna be found five minutes from now or five days from now so we’re still going to be continuing this effort,” Buschow said.

The rescue team effort have also brought in sniffing dogs to assist.
