Jacob Blake Kenosha Wisconsin Protest Turns Into Tear Gas and Fire

As protest take way in Kenosha Wisconsin for Jacob Blake the streets are filled with tear gas.

The Jacob Blake shooting is yet another sign of American’s dealing with the inacurate evaluation of Police officers using firearm as a way to detain an unarmed black man.

American’s are tired of reckless officer’s taking innocent lives. Buildings and cars in Kenosha, Wisconsin, were set ablaze Monday night amid protests.

Blake, a Black man, was shot multiple times in the back Sunday evening as he tried to enter the driver’s side door of an SUV. In the vehicle were his 3, 5, and 8-year-old children.

As outrage spill into the streets, seven shots are heard, followed by the sustained sound of a car horn. Two Wisconsin police officers have since been placed on administrative leave.

Jacob Blake’s family seeks justice as he comes from strong and integral beginnings.

His grandfather, Jacob Blake Sr., was lead pastor at Evanston’s Ebenezer AME Church during the 1960s and 70s and fought for years for fair housing. Two senior homes bear his name.

Blake was also active and helpful in the community.

Jacob Blake was breaking up a fight when he was shot by police.

White, witnessed the shooting take place. “It’s disturbing to actually look out the window where I live and see this man get shot by the police seven times,” White said. “It’s highly disturbing to me, but I’m pretty sure Jacob’s kids were more traumatized than anybody during the whole situation.”

A video of the shooting was released, showing Blake unarmed. The angle depicts what was happening shortly before Blake stood up and walked around the side of his car and opened the door … and then ultimately getting fired upon at point-blank range. While it’s a bit hard to fully make out, you can clearly see a struggle between Blake and officers. Nonetheless, he’s unarmed and unthreatening as his back is turned to the cop who repeatedly shoots him.

Blake’s family said he is now being treated at a Milwaukee hospital, where he is in serious, but stable condition.
