Jacob Blake Court Appearance from Hospital Bed – Breaking News

Surviving gun shot victim Jacob Blake appeared in virtual court from his hospital bed. Blake was accompanied by his attorney Patrick Cafferty. Blake freely and voluntarily showed up to waive the right to a preliminary hearing.

Jacob Blake pleaded not guilty to all three of his charges for felony convictions of  criminal trespassing, third-degree sexual assault and disorderly conduct.

Blake wore a blue dress shirt and a yellow tie during the hearing.

He spoke briefly to the judge when asked if he understood the alleged charges against him. When asked if he had any questions Blake responded, “at the moment, no I don’t.”

Jacob Blake is approved for a 10,000 signature bond for Blake, in addition to the $500 cash already in place as bail. Blake is allowed to leave the state only for medical treatment.

His next court appearance is set for October 21st.

29 year old Jacob Blake was shot on August 23rd 2020. A video clip of the incident shows an officer shooting Blake several times in the back as he tries to enter the driver’s side door of an SUV. His three children — 3, 5 and 8 — were in the car at the time. According to reports, Blake had broken up a fight prior to officers showing up.

After the shooting of yet another unarmed black man protest broke out in Kenosha. As a result an armed white man shot and killed innocent protestors while officials did not try to stop him. This raised the demand for justice even higher.

The Wisconsin Department of Justice Division of Criminal Investigation, which is leading the shooting investigation, has said that Blake admitted he had a knife in his possession and law enforcement agents recovered one from the driver’s side floorboard of his vehicle.

Two officers have since been placed on administrative leave.
