Thousands of NPP supporters and executives have taken to the streets of Ho, the Volta Regional Capital, to protest against the reappointment of Dr. Archibald Yaw Letsa as Minister of the Volta Region.
Dr. Yaw Letsa was appointed by President Nana Akufo-Addo in 2017 as Volta Regional Minister and served for four years.
The President once again nominated him recently as the Minister – designate for Volta Region, pending his approval by the vetting committee of Parliament.
But NPP’s members in the Region are saying enough is enough to Dr. Letsa, Mr. Akufo-Addo’s ‘darling boy.’
They staged a mammoth demonstration today, January 25, 2021.
The “Enough is Enough” demonstration was organised by a group calling itself Volta NPP Grassroots for Justice.
The demonstration attracted thousands of NPP members from across the region to Ho.
Some demonstrators wielded placards with inscriptions: One Man No Chop; Enough is Enough, Where are the Masloc Tricycles, Dr. Letsa?, Enough is greed Letsa Must Go, Where are the auction cars, Dr. Letsa?, How many Campaign Platforms Did you mount? Among others.
They accused him of among other things, dividing the party in the Region.
