The co-founder of one of Ghana’s leading retail firms, Bhagwan Ramchand Khubchandani, has died from coronavirus, sources say.
African Entertainment has gathered that he died on January 25, 2021 at the Nyaho Medical Centre in Accra.
The Indian business magnate was born on October 30, 1937 and spent most part of his life in Ghana. He started Melcom started as a family business in September 1989 together with his sons-in-law Ramesh Sadhwani and Mahesh Melwani.
A leading retail department outlet with about 48 retail Centres, Melcom has over the years progressed into six separate companies with an overreaching name, Melcom Group of Companies.
Melcom trades largely in consumer, electronic and households goods.
