Who she is: She’s a 16-year-old fire fairy who just found out she has magical powers. She’s also a changeling, which means that after she was born, she was swapped with a human baby and grew up on Earth.

Fun fact: The Bloom-Sky-Stella love triangle didn’t exist in the animated series. Bloom actually starts dating Sky very early in the original series and she’s best friends with Stella.

Live-action version played by: Precious Mustapha

Who she is: She’s Bloom’s roommate, friend, and a member of the Winx club. She’s also a water fairy.

Fun fact: Aisha doesn’t come into the animated series until the second season. While her animated counterpart is known as a “Fairy of Waves,” she is also able to manipulate a pink substance that can act as a shield, bubble, or magic beam.

Who she is: She’s one of Bloom’s suitemates and a member of the Winx club. She’s also Queen Luna’s daughter and Sky’s ex-girlfriend.

Fun fact: In the animated series, Stella makes all of her own clothes and has dreams of becoming a fashion designer one day.

Who she is: She’s one of Bloom’s suitemates and a member of the Winx club. She’s a mind fairy and an empath, which causes her to feel everything those around her feel.

Fun fact: In the animated series, Musa’s powers are actually related to music and she can manipulate sound waves.

Who he is: He’s a specialist, whose job it is to protect the fairies of Alfea.

Fun fact: In the animated show, the specialists actually go to their own school called the Red Fountain School of Specialists, but in Fate: The Winx Saga, the specialists attend Alfea with the fairies.

Live-action version played by: Freddie Thorp

Who she is: He’s a specialist and Sky’s best friend. He’s also a little bit of an outcast and likes causing trouble for the fairies.

Fun fact: In the animated series, he’s actually not a “bad boy” type like his live-action counterpart. He and Musa date on and off for the majority of the series.

Live-action version played by: Sadie Soverall

Who she is: She’s an air fairy who can manipulate electricity. She’s also one of the main villains of Season 1 and tries to uncover all of Alfea’s dark secrets.

Fun fact: The Trix are a group of three evil fairies, and they’re the main villains of the animated series. However, for the live-action show, they’re all combined into one person: Beatrix.

Who she is: She’s Bloom’s human mother who raised her on Earth.

Fun fact: In Fate: The Winx Saga, Bloom and her mother have a typical mother-teenager relationship and they don’t always see eye to eye. In the animated series, their relationship is much stronger and more kindhearted.

Live-action version played by: Josh Cowdery

Who he is: He’s Bloom’s human father who raised her on Earth.

Fun fact: In the animated series, Mike is a firefighter, which is a perfect match for Bloom, who’s able to start raging fires with her magic. Bloom didn’t almost accidentally kill her parents either, like she did in Fate: The Winx Saga.

Who she is: She’s the queen of Solaria and Stella’s mom.

Fun fact: Like her name suggests, Luna is able to draw power from the moon. In the animated series, her ex-husband Radius’s powers are fused together with Solaria’s sun.
