Watch the Official Trailer for ‘Coming 2 America’

The highly anticipated sequel to 1988 comedy ‘Coming To America’ will premiere on Amazon Prime Video this March.

Ahead of the long-awaited premiere, Amazon has released the movie’s official trailer. The new trailer for ‘Coming 2 America’ confirms reports that the sequel co-written by ‘Black-ish’ creator Kenya Barris, will follow Prince Akeem’s return to Queens in search of his lovechild who is to become the heir Zamunda.

Reprising his role as Prince Akeem is Eddie Murphy alongside his trusted right-hand man Semmi (Arsenio Hall). Other cast members include James Earl Jones, Wesley Snipes, Tracy Morgan, Jermaine Fowler, Leslie Jones, Shari Headley, Kiki Layne and Teyana Taylor. The sequel is directed by Craig Brewer and scripted by Kenya Barris, Barry W. Blaustein and David Sheffield

‘Coming 2 America’ premieres on Amazon Prime on March 5, 2021.
