When she left the hospital with baby William, Princess Di wore this loose-fitting polka dot dress, again keeping with royal tradition.

However, when Meghan and her husband, Prince Harry, presented their firstborn baby to the public, she broke royal expectations by wearing this more formfitting Grace Wales Bonner dress.

People praised Meghan’s dress because it showed off her post-pregnancy baby bump, showcasing the realities of what a body looks like after childbirth.
Princess Di was seen wearing an eye-catching coat and a velvet hat two days after the palace announced her second pregnancy.
