Karan Johar begins location scouting for Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani

The last time Karan Johar took the director’s chair for a feature film was back in 2016 with Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. Karan maintained the essence of love and friendship in the film that starred Anushka Sharma and Ranbir Kapoor and gave his audiences songs, dialogues and scenes to obsess over once again.

The director is all set to be back with yet another love story with a twist and this one stars Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh in the lead. Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani was announced on Ranveer’s birthday, July 6 and it got the audiences excited for the trio’s collaboration. The film also stars Shabana Azmi, Jaya Bachchan and Dharmendra in pivotal roles.

The latest update on the film is that Karan has started location scouting for the film and is expected to start shooting this year itself. He shared a selfie on his social media today with the caption, “Get set go! #locationscout #RockyAurRaniKiPremKahani.”

The film is written by Ishita Moitra, Shashank Khaitan and Sumit Roy and is expected to release in 2022.
